  17.     I have an old V4.4 A2000 motherboard but I'm not giving it to you! :)
  18. Anyway on some (many?) of the older motherboards, there's a capacitor missing
  19. on the motherboard. Without the capacitor, an accelerator will not work or
  20. if it did it would act flaky! :( I'm looking at my motherboard now and the
  21. the place that needs the capacitor is C905. It's located next to C918 and
  22. just below the GARY chip. The capacitor that's not there has to be a 100pF
  23. (pico Farad) MLC Radial capacitor. I'm looking at the A2000 schematic book
  24. and it lists the part number as 900014-02. I bought mine at Radio Shack. If
  25. you go there I hope you'll have better luck than I did since my zombie sales
  26. clerk just stared at me and said to look at the wall when I asked for the
  27. capacitor. :P

  29.     I guess C= saved a few pennies by not including it because later
  30. revisions of the motherboard did have it. Now that I'm replying to you, I
  31. realize that I don't remember where I got this info since it predates my
  32. days on the internet. :) (or having a modem) I guess it was in one of the
  33. older issues of Amazing or AmigaWorld. I hope this solves your problem.
